The
College has a beautiful three storied science block houses for the
department of Anatomy, Physiology, Bio-Chemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology
and microbiology and highly sophisticated lecture halls. The departments
are headed by experienced full time professor with adequate staff
members.
The physiology and
biochemistry departments are fully equipped to teach clinical and
experimental physiology, Biochemistry as applicable in clinical
practice. Both pathology and microbiology departments are headed
by separate professors with laboratory facilities to teach pathology
and microbiology with a separate histopathology laboratory with
adequate facilities for microbial culture.
These basic science
departments are linked with the general hospital to carryout relevant
investigations.
DENTAL HOSPITAL
There are one hundred
and seventy five dental chairs and units in this dental hospital.
They are distributed to the different dental specialities. Each
clinic has its own stores, sterilization room, staff room and a
laboratory to increase the efficiency in management of patients.
An average of 200 patients are being treated daily between the various
departments.
Hostel facilities
The college provides separate excellent
hostel facilities for boys and girls spacious rooms with attached
bathrooms are available in both hostels. Facilities for games and
sports especially indoor games are available in hostels. Audio system
television and cultural facility are also provided. Highly hygienic
vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods are available to the students.
It has 10,000 litter/day capacity of water purification system.
This fulfills total drinking water requirement of college and hostels.
Library
The College has well
central Library with wide variety of books related to dental subjects,
medicines, etc., The library stocks dental technical books and various
journals . At present the library is having over 10,000 volumes
on dental and medicines. It has a reading room and lending facilities
to the students. These facilities enable most students to obtain
recommended books, which are rarely available in India.
